Nature Play SA Incursion

Posted on

On Tuesday, 19th March, Nature Play SA came to our school to do an Incursion with our class. The students got to play with a range of things from nature.

First they constructed things with small chunks of wood rounds. They were challenged to see who could build the tallest tower. Then the students made small tee pees using 3 short sticks. After that each student was given a piece of clay and they could use it to place different natural things in it, such as flowers, seed pods etc, to create a piece of art. Finally the students made a seed ball, which they were able to take home.

The students had a great time using their imagination, creativity and problem solving skills to play in nature.
