Term 1, Week 5

Today we very kindly had some small sun flower plants donated to us, which was great as it ties in with the Science Inquiry we have been exploring this term, which focuses on living and non-living things.

Today we discussed the sun flowers are living things because they need food- water, air and sun light to grow. We all estimated how tall we think the sun flowers will grow and discussed that for our plants to grow it should live outside to get sun light as well as air and we talked about the importance of remembering to water it regularly. We are looking forward to observing them grow as well as watching how tall they get to see if our estimations were correct.

Here is a photo of what the sun flowers currently look like.
